Suggs is another guy who has been snake-bitten with injuries this season, but it sounds like he’ll be on the field when the Ravens take on the Redskins this weekend.
According to SI.com Suggs is battling a torn right biceps which he suffered in the fourth quarter of a 23-20 loss to the Steelers on Sunday, but he still may play this weekend.
The veteran linebacker has already missed the first six games of this season with a torn right Achilles tendon, but since his return he’s managed to accrue 19 tackles along with two sacks over the last six games.
His status for this weekend isn’t a definite, but he’s reportedly a ‘game time decision’. Â Considering they’re battling a player like Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III, it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see him out there. Â However, Suggs says he won’t play if he doesn’t feel like he’s truly able to help his team win.
“I don’t want to be out there and can’t make a play because I’m unhealthy and I don’t have a full biceps,” said Suggs. “It’s more if I will help us or hinder us by playing.”
The Ravens currently lead the AFC North with a record of 9-3 on the season heading into this weekend, two games ahead of second place Pittsburgh and Cincinnati – who are both 7-5.
